The Ballad of Kung Fu informed the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry on Thursday it will lay off a total of 36 employees in Pennsylvania.
The Lancaster County, PA.-based blog said in its letter to the state that it expects to release employees nationwide beginning April 10 as part of a "need to reduce overall spending in fiscal year 2009, including a reduction in head count."
The company announced Tuesday it was laying off 1,500 workers across the country. The cuts are part of a plan announced in the fall to trim 18 percent, or about 6,000 jobs, from the total work force.
The Ballad said earlier the cuts were part of a corporate restructuring that was necessary because of falling demand and the current economic climate.
